Lord Rescue Me

Lord rescue me, forgive me Lord,
For all my sin is crying,
I need to know a realness,
I need to do some dying,
You shed Your blood, and suffered long,
To bring about me as Your son,
You gave Your life, what sacrifice,
I wasn't even trying,
You've shown to me, reality,
And lifted all my sighing,
Forgiveness true, with life anew,
A gift of grace, for me, from You,
Your steadfast love, Your mercy sure,
Anointing oil on me You pour,
You heal my heart and bind my wounds,
You saved my soul and gave me truth,
Compassion and Your righteousness,
You wash me with Your holiness,
You want to pull me from distress,
And show me all Your faithfulness,
Lord Jesus now can I thank You,
By giving back my life to You,
Please take away my selfishness,
Release to me Your love afresh.
