How to recieve your Miracle..........

The Woman With The Issue Of Blood
Mark 5:24-34

.....A large crowd followed and pressed around Him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better , she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was free from her suffering.
At once Jesus realised that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"
"You see the people crowding against you," His disciples answered, "and yet You can ask 'Who touched Me?"
But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at His feet and, trembling with fear, told Him the whole truth. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Wow!!!! What a result for this poor lady, like the blind man last week this illness had made her unclean and prevented her having a normal life in her society.

She had spent all her money, time and effort on a cure but had not found anyone to help her. She was physically, spiritually and emotionally bankrupt. For twelve years this had been going on and she had nowhere left to turn.

We are often the same with our illnesses, we will go to this doctor, that Chiropractor, the Homeopath, the Magician
the latest Guru, or Occultist to get our healing.

It is o.k. you think if we can get better, but to be ill for twelve years? The answer to our sickness was born 2000 years ago in a stable in Bethlehem. The Name - The Lord Jesus Christ.

In 1 Peter 2:24 it says "He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed."

I do not for one moment think this woman understood the theological debate on whether Jesus could heal her or not.
No with her bleeding a constant reminder of sins effect on her body, she was going to take her miracle from the One passing before her.

I would remind you women were of no great importance in those days, she would if she was healthy be pushed to the back of the crowd. Was she put off?
No! Like a woman going for a handbag at the January sales she pushed her way through to Jesus believing if only she could touch His garments.....

She got through and touched His clothes and there the miracle, her bleeding stopped. Right then, just as she touched His clothes , she was healed. Wow! what a day, what a healing what Joy!!!
Jesus knew that the healing needed something else. She needed to restored Physically but also Socially.

"Daughter your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

In front of everyone Jesus speaks the healing word to this woman and seals the work of faith.

She put all the little faith she had in this last chance for healing and God proved His love for her by delivering her totally from her infirmity.

Do you need to place the little faith you have in the God of Creation. Do you need healing? Do you need peace and restoration. Jesus lived , died and was resurrected for you so that you can receive the benefits of His sinless sacrifice.
He alone is the One we must trust for our lives. He alone is the one in whom we must believe for our miracle.

The woman in this story had no-one else to go to.

Twenty years ago I made the same choice as she, I put my faith in The Lord Jesus Christ and found healing and peace in Him, I have followed Him ever since because He is the reality I was seeking, I called upon His name and was saved. Maybe today you can put your trust in Him too and receive your miracle

Maybe you have realised that you need to be serious with God. If you have a need ask Jesus to answer it, trust Him and believe He will do it!

Start to believe in what God says about you in the bible. If you have not invited Jesus into your heart this would be your first step. Peter said of Jesus
'You have the words of eternal life' John 6:68

The Lord Jesus is ready to help you as soon as you ask to know Him as Lord. Jesus Christ has paid for your sin, my sin and every ones sin by living a life free from sin and dying in our place so that we might know forgiveness of sin, and freedom eternally from the power of death.

Remember you can only deal with your own sin. Everyone has to answer to God for what they have done, but God is merciful and will forgive them too, when they are ready to come to Him. He will always accept you, and makes you the offer now of real, genuine love and resurrection life.

You need to say sorry to God for having offended Him by your sinful actions, and choose to walk in His ways instead. Ask Him to forgive you for your sins, repent of your sins and tell God you need His help to stop living in a way that pleases you, and tell him you want to live to please Him.

Invite Jesus Christ to come and be Lord of your life. Thank Him that He has bought you back from the road of darkness and destruction by giving His life for you, and releasing you from the burdens of rejection, guilt and shame. Bringing you fully into His wonderful light. Thank Jesus for this, and acknowledge His death and resurrection and ask His Holy Spirit to come into you right now and give you the power to change and you will find real acceptance in Him and He himself will show you the way forward.

Next step is to tell someone you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and find a church that really loves Jesus and lives for Him.

It will not be easy but will be the greatest and most joyful decision you have ever made.
